[Sticky] Basic FLDIGI setup for use with the MT63 mode on FM

Basic NBEMS FLDIGI setup for use with the MT63 mode on FM

Download latest version of FLDigi and FLMsg from http://www.w1hkj.com

Install both programs.

Run FLDigi

Go to Configure>Miscellaneous>Misc>NBEMS
Enable NBEMS data file interface
Enable Open with flmsg
Enable Open in browser
Click Locate flmsg
Browse to your Program Files folder and find the .exe file for flmsg in the flmsg folder.
Click SAVE then CLOSE

Go to Configure>Miscellaneous>Misc>Sweet Spot
Change the value in PSK et al to 1500
Click SAVE then CLOSE

Go to Configure>Modems>MT-63
Enable Long receive integration
Enable 8-bit extended characters
Click SAVE then CLOSE

Go to Configure>Audio>Devices
Enable PortAudio
Select appropriate capture and playback devices which matches the sound card in your computer which you will be using.
Click SAVE then CLOSE

Go to Configure>User Interface>Macros
Enable Two scheme 7
Click SAVE then CLOSE

At bottom of screen, below the waterfall, there are 8 light blue, 8 red and 8 deep blue buttons. The bottom two deep blue buttons are blank.
Right click on the first blank deep blue button (below the RX button)
Copy and paste the following text into the Macro Text section of the window which pops up:

<MODEM:MT63-2KL>
<GOFREQ:1500>
<RXRSID:on>

In the space at the bottom of the window which says Macro Button Label, paste the following text: NBEMS VHF
Click APPLY then CLOSE

Right click on the second blank deep blue button (below the TX button)
Copy and paste the following text into the Macro Text section of the window which pops up:

<MODEM:MT63-1KL>
<GOFREQ:1500>
<RXRSID:on>

In the space at the bottom of the window which says Macro Button Label, paste the following text: NBEMS HF
Click APPLY then CLOSE

Two new macros should now replace the blank buttons.
Click on the button [NBEMS VHF] or [NBEMS HF]

The software should now switch ot the appropriate MT63 mode (as seen in extreme bottom left hand corner of sofware window.
Transmit/Receive cursor in waterfall marked by two red vertical lines should be centered on 1500Hz.

Run FLMSG and allow access to the firewall
Go to Config>Personal Data
Fill in your personal information
Go to Date/Time tab.
Select the date and time format which you prefer to use. I use the default.
Go to Files tab
Ensure that Open folder when exporting is selected.
Close

At bottom of window select MT63-2KL

You are now ready send and receive NBEMS messages via MT63 on a repeater.
